Ilona Kolis is a psychotherapist (qualifying) who is passionate about helping others understand what they are going through and provide the insight and tools needed to lead the life desired.
She has completed a specialization in Psychology at York University, Toronto, and a Master of Arts in Counselling and Spirituality including a two-year clinical internship from Saint Paul University, Ottawa. Her additional training includes certification in Self-in Relationship Psychotherapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
Ilona specializes in counselling individuals who struggle with finding purpose, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, addictions, and injuries from motor vehicle accidents. She also has extensive experience supporting veterans readjusting to post-military life. Ilona has lived on a First Nation Reserve and volunteered, full-time at a Mental Health Clinic providing support to clients suffering from inter-generational trauma.
Her philosophy in life is that you can only get so far alone. You can expect a therapeutic relationship based on genuineness, compassion and acceptance that facilitates personal growth and symptom reduction.
